A proposed settlement agreement has been reached that would resolve the following pending cases: Tracey Neal, et al v Michigan Department of Corrections, et al, Washtenaw County Circuit Court Case No. 96-6986-CZ, the joined case of Nicole Anderson, et al, v Michigan Department of Corrections, Court of Claims No. 03-162-MZ, (the "Class Action"), and Tammy LaCross, et al v Nancy Zang, et al, Washtenaw County Circuit Court Case No. 05944-CZ, and the federal case, Natheauleen Mason, et al v Granholm, et al, United States District Court for the Eastern District of Michigan Case No. 05-cv-73943 (the “related cases”). On July 15, 2009, Judge Timothy P. Connors preliminarily approved a settlement between the parties. Below are links to the Notice of Settlement and the Class Settlement Agreement. If you believe you have a claim, please read the Notices at the link below, and be sure to note the deadlines for making a claim, making objections, or opting out of the settlement.
